#1. Use of reverse thrust below the recommended speed may cause:

• AOver stressing of the gear oleos.
• BIngestion of the exhaust gases and foreign objects.
• CMore fuel to be provided to the burners.
• DThe T.G.T. limit to be exceeded, in which case the reverse thrust lever will return to the forward thrust position.

#2. A big fan engine gets reverse thrust by:

• AReversing the direction of rotation of the compressor.
• BDeflecting the exhaust gases.
• CBlocking the by-pass air.
• DReversing the hot stream gases.

#3. Before reverse thrust can be selected, the forward thrust lever must be:

• APulled back to idle power.
• BPositioned to reverse minimum power.
• CPut back to the reverser deploy position.
• DPositioned to reverse maximum power.
